The NFL has officially unveiled its 2026 international game schedule, and while the Green Bay Packers won't be packing their bags for a trip overseas, 16 other teams will be taking their talents across the globe. The league announced on May 13 that a record nine international games will be played during the first 11 weeks of the 2026 season, spanning seven cities worldwide.
For Packers fans hoping to see their team play abroad, the wait continues. Green Bay's last international appearance came in 2024 when they faced the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil. They also made a trip to London in 2022 to take on the New York Giants. While the Packers were briefly considered as a potential opponent for the New Orleans Saints in Paris, that slot ultimately went to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, two of Green Bay's NFC North rivals—the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions—will be making international appearances.
The 2026 international slate kicks off in spectacular fashion with the San Francisco 49ers facing the Los Angeles Rams on September 10 (Week 1) at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. From there, the action spans across continents, including a Week 3 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
London will host three games this season, starting with the Indianapolis Colts versus Washington Commanders on October 4 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars will square off at the same venue on October 11, followed by the Houston Texans taking on the Jaguars again at Wembley Stadium on October 18.
Paris makes its debut on the NFL international stage when the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints clash at Stade de France on October 27 (Week 7). Madrid joins the lineup for the first time as well, with the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons playing at Bernabéu Stadium on November 8 (Week 9).
The action continues in Germany, where the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions will face off at FC Bayern Munich Arena on November 15 (Week 10). The international schedule wraps up on November 22 (Week 11) in Mexico City, with the Minnesota Vikings taking on the San Francisco 49ers at Estadio Banorte.
With 62 regular-season international games already played in cities like London, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dublin, São Paulo, Mexico City, and Toronto, the NFL's global reach continues to expand. Whether you're a fan of the Packers or just love the game, this season's international lineup promises unforgettable matchups and a true celebration of football worldwide.
