The summer transfer window is heating up, and one of Europe's most talked-about strikers is officially on the move. Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell with Bayern Munich, but the real question is: where will he land next?

According to Christian Falk of CF Bayern Insider, Newcastle United could be a serious contender for the Senegalese international's signature. Jackson has shown flashes of brilliance in Germany, tallying 10 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season. But despite those numbers, it's clear his time with the Bavarian giants is coming to an end.

"Everyone in the club is clear: Nicolas Jackson's chapter with Bayern Munich will close at the end of the season," Falk revealed. "The €65 million (£56.1 million) Chelsea are looking for would be too much! Even if the Blues were to cut that figure in half, we can't escape the fact that Jackson doesn't suit Vincent Kompany's system perfectly."

Falk pointed to a telling moment in Bayern's Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain, where Jackson was brought on for just a minute of action in a dramatic 5-4 defeat. "It says a lot when Jackson then comes on last for about a minute," he added. "There's not a lot of trust in this transfer. But it's perhaps to be expected, given this was a last-minute move in the summer."

Still, Jackson's contributions this season have proven he can thrive at a top club. With 10 goals and solid link-up play, he's shown enough to attract interest from Premier League heavyweights. And it seems Newcastle could be that perfect next step.

Falk noted that amid growing uncertainty around current Magpies target Nick Woltemade, Newcastle should "develop their interest in Nicolas Jackson." The question now is whether Eddie Howe's side is willing to meet Chelsea's hefty asking price—reportedly over £50 million. For a striker with Jackson's pace, power, and proven ability in Europe's top leagues, it could be a statement signing for the Magpies as they look to build on their recent momentum.
