The rumor mill is heating up around Newcastle United's star winger Anthony Gordon, with European giants Bayern Munich and Barcelona reportedly circling for a potential summer move.

The 25-year-old England international has been turning heads after a standout season, including a memorable 10 goals in the Champions League—one of which came against Barcelona back in August. It's no surprise that a summer departure from St. James' Park is looking increasingly likely.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich have already presented Gordon's camp with terms for a five-year contract. But the Bundesliga champions aren't putting all their eggs in one basket—they're reportedly ready to pivot to other targets if Newcastle's asking price stays high.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlets are buzzing with reports that Gordon's agents have been spotted in talks with Barcelona's director of football, Deco. The Catalan club could be in the market for fresh attacking firepower, especially with England teammate Marcus Rashford expected to return to Manchester United after his loan spell ends this summer.

Newcastle, who signed Gordon from Everton in January 2023, are reportedly holding firm on a £80 million valuation—roughly double what they paid for him. It remains to be seen if any suitor will meet that hefty price tag, and the club has declined to comment on the speculation.

On the international stage, Gordon has earned 17 caps for England since making his debut in March 2024 against Brazil. He's expected to be named in Thomas Tuchel's squad for this summer's World Cup, especially after returning to the Newcastle bench for Saturday's 3-1 win over Brighton following a minor injury.

Gordon was also part of the England squad that reached the Euro 2024 final under Gareth Southgate, though he saw limited action—sitting out six of seven games as an unused substitute and making just a brief cameo in the group-stage draw with Slovenia.

As the transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on whether Gordon swaps the black-and-white stripes of Newcastle for the red of Bayern or the blue-and-red of Barcelona. One thing's for sure: his next move could define the summer transfer market.
