Penn State football is changing the schedule of Saturday's Blue-White practice — moving up the start time by 45 minutes — because of expected inclement weather.
The practice, free and open to the public, will now begin at 12:15 p.m. in Beaver Stadium. The annual player autograph session, originally scheduled for 11 a.m., will now be held after the practice at four locations around the stadium.
There is no scheduled television coverage of the event.
No matter the rain, more than 40 new Nittany Lions, transfers and rookies, will still participate in their first Blue-White event. From new quarterbacks, like senior starter Rocco Becht, to a new lineup of defensive tackles and ends and linebackers to remade receiver and running back rooms.
The Nittany Lions, who will end their 15 spring workout sessions this weekend, practiced only one other time in Beaver Stadium.
The Blue-White Game structure of year's past will be tweaked for Saturday. Fans will get to see a team stretch, drills and 7-on-7 action. There also will be some full scrimmage work, the offense driving against the defense, coach Matt Campbell said.
The Lions will partake in their typical pregame arrival at the stadium at 11:45 a.m.
"I think one of the neat things for our kids this time around is you're going to get to experience what this fan base feels like and how special this place really is," Campbell told reporters last week. "And I think even last Saturday, there were a lot of big eyes walking into that stadium and how powerful it feels to walk in there."
9 a.m.: Penn State equipment sale at Pegula Ice Arena
