The New England Patriots have long been known for their tight end tradition, and it looks like the latest addition to the room is already soaking up wisdom from one of the best. Julian Hill, the team's new tight end, couldn't hide his excitement when talking about working alongside veteran Hunter Henry.
"I've got a hell of a vet in that room, as y'all know," Hill said with a grin during his Thursday media session. "Hunter Henry is a hell of a guy. I've been working with him. He's been helping me so much in the pass game."
Since joining the Patriots in 2021, Henry has been a steady force in the offense—a reliable target and a leader both on and off the field. For Hill, who's still finding his footing in New England, having a mentor like Henry has made the transition smoother than expected.
Hill didn't hold back his admiration, pointing to Henry's longevity and professionalism as traits that set him apart. "He's produced as he's produced. How he moves at his age, man, how his mindset of the game, his approach to the game, you can't make that up," Hill explained. "I got a lot of respect for guys who have been in the business for a long time, because as y'all know, this is a short-lived business. So that's what makes him a hell of a player."
For Patriots fans, this kind of chemistry in the tight end room is a promising sign. As the team looks to build a more dynamic offense, having a young player like Hill learning from a proven veteran like Henry could pay big dividends. After all, in the NFL, experience is the best teacher—and Hill is clearly taking full advantage of the lesson.
