Mason Oglesby, the standout tight end from New Palestine High School, is ready to make his college decision. The four-star prospect has narrowed his choices to four schools and set a commitment date of May 23.

Oglesby, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 220 pounds, will choose between Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, and Ohio State. He announced his final four on Tuesday, setting the stage for what promises to be a significant moment in his recruiting journey.

The junior was a key contributor to New Palestine's Class 5A state championship run, catching 34 passes for 513 yards and six touchdowns. His versatility also showed on defense, where he recorded 33 tackles, including seven for loss, as an outside linebacker. Rated as a four-star prospect on the 247Sports composite, Oglesby's blend of size and athleticism makes him a coveted target.

This spring, Oglesby has taken official visits to three of his finalists: North Carolina, Indiana, and Kansas. He added Ohio State to his list after receiving an offer from the Buckeyes in late February, following an unofficial visit to Columbus in April. Previously, his top six included Purdue, USC, and Missouri.

For Indiana, landing Oglesby would be a major win. The Hoosiers currently have four high school commitments in the 2027 class, with Michigan City offensive tackle Jeremiah Jones as the only in-state pledge. They remain in the mix for several other top prospects, including five-star Lawrence North receiver Monshun Sales.

Kansas has been especially aggressive in their pursuit, sending their entire coaching staff to see Oglesby on Tuesday. They also extended an offer to sophomore defensive lineman Sam Hirschy during the same visit, highlighting their focus on building a strong recruiting pipeline.

Oglesby's decision on May 23 will be one to watch, as he has the potential to make an immediate impact at the next level. Whether he chooses to stay in-state with Indiana or head to a powerhouse like Ohio State, his talent and work ethic suggest a bright future ahead.
