The New England Revolution are making history at Gillette Stadium. With a gritty 2-1 comeback victory over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night, the Revs improved to 6-0-0 at home this season—the best home start in the club's 28-year history, surpassing the previous mark of 5-0-0.

The first half was a struggle for New England. An own goal in the 37th minute handed Philadelphia a 1-0 lead, and the Revs looked sloppy and disjointed as they headed into the locker room. But whatever Head Coach Marko Mitrovic said at halftime worked wonders.

The second half was a complete turnaround. In the 61st minute, Luca Langoni ignited the crowd with a brilliant strike into the back of the net, leveling the score at 1-1. The Revs had new life and kept the pressure on. Then, in the 87th minute, a slick passing sequence in the Philadelphia box found team captain Carles Gil, who buried the go-ahead goal. It was Gil's third straight game with a goal, and it sealed the 2-1 victory.

"I love that. We cannot ignore it," Mitrovic said of the historic home start. "It's amazing writing history, but we will get there one day to think about that."

Midfielder Brooklyn Raines credited the team's growing confidence: "It's a very competitive group. The past few games I've seen the winning mentality. It doesn't matter if we are up a goal or down a goal."

The Revolution haven't lost an MLS match since March, climbing to second place in the Eastern Conference after starting the season 0-2. That remarkable turnaround sets up a huge rematch on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium against Nashville SC—the team that handed New England a 4-1 defeat in the season opener back in February. Nashville currently sits atop the East, making Wednesday's clash a potential statement game for the Revs.

For now, though, the Revs can celebrate a historic milestone: the best home start in club history, powered by resilience, late-game heroics, and a captain who just can't stop scoring.
