Fresh off her 18th career victory in Mexico, Korda became the first LPGA player to appear on the popular ESPN show.

Nelly Korda just made history—and she did it in style. Fresh off her 18th career victory in Mexico, the world No. 1 became the first LPGA player ever to appear on ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show. And when asked if she's playing the best golf of her life, Korda's answer was as refreshing as her game.

"I'm having so much fun on the golf course," Korda shared with McAfee and his panel. "But I think it came because last year was a really hard year for me. I didn't win at all, I came off of a year that I won seven times. I think I'm just maturing and realizing that I really need to enjoy these moments—that it's not going to last forever."

That maturity is paying off in a big way. Korda's scoring average of 68.04 is nearly a full stroke better than her nearest competitor and a full stroke better than last season. But the key to her turnaround? It might surprise you.

"The biggest thing I changed from last year: higher shoes," Korda revealed. "I'm trying to actually get closer to the ground with my chest. And with that, I get a little bit steeper in my swing and hinge it a little faster. It's literally like the smallest of things. Golfers are crazy. I'm crazy, just to let you know."

The panel couldn't get enough of Korda's picture-perfect swing, which she credits to childhood coach David Whelan and the simple tempo lesson from her parents. "My dad always said 'Co-ca-Co-la, Co-ca-Co-la.' It was super simple, but it was the key to having a very fluid swing."

Between the swing secrets and her newfound love for the Green Bay Packers—courtesy of her fiancé—Korda showed off her cheesehead and declared Lambeau Field "the greatest place in the world." Whether she's dominating on the course or charming the studio, one thing is clear: Nelly Korda is playing her best golf, and she's having the time of her life doing it.
