The Nebraska softball team is set to make some noise in the 2026 NCAA tournament, and they'll be doing it on their home turf. The Huskers (46-6) have earned the fourth overall seed and will host a regional at Bowlin Stadium, marking the first time since 2013 they've welcomed postseason action to Lincoln.

Nebraska kicks off the tournament against the South Dakota Coyotes (20-34-1) on Friday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Huskers are riding high after a dominant Big Ten Tournament run, capped by a victory over UCLA to claim the title. Meanwhile, South Dakota punched their ticket by downing Omaha for the Summit League crown.

The Lincoln Regional also features a matchup between Louisville and Grand Canyon at 3 p.m. CT, setting the stage for a competitive weekend of softball. If Nebraska advances, they'd also host a super regional, keeping the postseason excitement close to home.

This marks the 28th NCAA tournament appearance in program history and the 24th under legendary head coach Rhonda Revelle. The Huskers rank 14th all-time in tournament appearances, 20th in wins (69), and 15th in Women's College World Series appearances (7)—a testament to the program's consistent excellence.

For fans, this is a chance to see elite softball action and support a team that's built a legacy of success. Whether you're cheering from the stands or gearing up in your favorite Huskers gear, it's a moment to celebrate Nebraska softball's bright future.
