Boise State forward Drew Fielder visited Nebraska on Friday. This was reported by HuskerOnline’s Robin Washut (subscription required).
Fielder averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists last season. He shot 54.7% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. The Huskers could use a big man inside, and Fielder certainly fits the bill. He measures in at 6-foot 11, 225 pounds.
The program has made several moves over the last couple of days. Guard Braden Frager resigned with the program, and they secured a commitment from Sam Orne. After a few quiet days in the transfer portal, things are beginning to pick back up.
Fielder would be exactly what the program is looking for. One has to wonder if the commitment is coming soon, or at least within the next couple of days.
