The Huskers round out the regular season visiting the Gophers.

It all comes down to this: the final weekend of the regular season for Nebraska Baseball, and the stakes couldn't be higher. The No. 24 Huskers (38-14, 20-7 Big Ten) are heading to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers (30-20, 11-16 Big Ten) in a three-game series that carries major implications for both teams. For Nebraska, it's about securing a top seed in the Big Ten Tournament. For Minnesota, it's a fight just to get in.

The Huskers currently sit second in the conference standings, trailing only a dominant UCLA squad (26-1) that has already locked up the top spot. With USC and Oregon—sitting third and fourth—set to face each other this weekend, Nebraska is in a comfortable position. It would take a near-miracle for them to fall out of the top four, which guarantees a bye into the second half of the Big Ten Tournament. But there's still plenty to play for: the top two seeds get to face teams that have already played an extra game and burned through more pitching. That's a massive advantage in a tournament setting.

Meanwhile, the Big Ten standings are a jigsaw puzzle waiting to be solved. Purdue is tied for fourth with Oregon, just one game behind third-place USC. If Oregon takes two of three from USC and Purdue beats Iowa in two of three, we could see a three-way tie for third. Oregon holds the tiebreaker, with USC owning the edge over Purdue. A Purdue sweep of Iowa could even vault them into third. And as we've learned from past seasons, chaos is always lurking—especially when the tarp comes out. #NeverForget.

On the other side of the diamond, Minnesota is in a dogfight just to make the 12-team Big Ten Tournament. The Gophers are stuck in a four-way tie for 10th place with Rutgers, Washington, and Michigan State. Odds are that one of those four will be left out, joining Penn State, Maryland, Indiana, and Northwestern on the outside looking in. (And honestly, who had those first three missing Omaha at the start of the season?) As for Wisconsin, well, they're still too scared and un-American to field a team.

Here's how the pitching matchups shape up: Game 1 on Thursday (note the time change to 2 p.m. CDT) features Nebraska's Carson Jasa (9-2, 3.31 ERA) against Minnesota's Isaac Morton (4-2, 3.43 ERA). Game 2 on Friday at 5 p.m. CDT will see Ty Horn (2-2, 3.97 ERA) take the mound for the Huskers. Saturday's finale is set for 1 p.m. CDT. All three games will be streamed on B1G+, with Thursday and Friday also airing on BTN. As always, you can catch the Huskers on the Huskers Radio Network, Huskers.com, or the Huskers App.

Whether you're a die-hard fan tracking every pitch or just gearing up for tournament baseball with the right gear, this weekend is a must-watch. The Huskers are playing for seeding, the Gophers are playing for survival, and baseball fans everywhere are in for a treat.
