Nebraska faced off against Iowa on Saturday. In front of their largest home crowd since 2008, the Huskers claimed the series in spectacular fashion.

Nebraska baseball fans packed the stands on Saturday, and the Huskers rewarded them with a thrilling 15-11 victory over Iowa to clinch the series. Playing before a roaring crowd of 7,773—the largest home turnout since 2008—Nebraska showed why they're a force to be reckoned with this season.

The game started as a pitcher's duel but quickly turned into a slugfest. The Huskers built a commanding 7-0 lead through four innings, powered by seven hits. But Iowa, refusing to go quietly, chipped away with a run in the fifth and sixth before exploding for nine runs in the seventh and eighth to take an 11-8 lead.

Just when it seemed the momentum had shifted, Nebraska answered in spectacular fashion. The bottom of the eighth inning was pure magic: seven runs on six hits, three hit-by-pitches, a walk, and a towering three-run home run from Dylan Carey. Carey finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs, delivering the knockout blow that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Will Jesske also left his mark, crushing a grand slam in the third inning as part of a 2-for-3, four-RBI performance. Trey Fikes went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, while Jeter Worthley, Mac Moyer, and Drew Grego all contributed 2-for-4 efforts with an RBI each. The Huskers finished with 16 hits and 14 RBIs, outslugging Iowa's 13 hits and three home runs.

On the mound, Colin Nowazyk earned the win after recording the final out of the eighth inning. Tucker Timmerman closed it out in the ninth, striking out one while allowing just one hit. Starter Ty Horn set the tone with six strong innings, striking out six while surrendering only two runs on four hits.

The series finale is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network—a perfect opportunity for fans to see this red-hot Nebraska team in action.
