With less than two weeks until the NCAA baseball tournament bracket is unveiled, the race for postseason glory is heating up. Teams across the country are making their final pushes to secure regional seeds or simply earn a spot in the 68-team field. Every pitch, hit, and defensive play matters now more than ever.

Most major conferences have just one weekend of league play remaining before the Memorial Day weekend conference tournaments decide the automatic qualifiers. Once those 29 berths are claimed, the selection committee will fill the remaining 35 spots with at-large teams. It's a high-stakes sprint to the finish that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.

The decisions at both the top and bottom of the bracket promise to be tough. The SEC continues to dominate the seeded positions, with the ACC and a few other conferences also in the mix. However, UCLA from the Big Ten has emerged as a runaway leader for the overall top seed, showcasing the depth and talent across college baseball this season.

As for the bubble, several tournament regulars are facing the real possibility of missing out this year. At the same time, there's exciting potential for mid-major programs to crash the party and earn their way into the bracket—a refreshing contrast to what we often see in the men's basketball tournament. This unpredictability is what makes the road to Omaha so thrilling.
