The WNBA is stepping into a new era, and NBC is rolling out the red carpet. As part of a groundbreaking media rights deal that runs through 2036, NBC will broadcast over 50 regular-season games and first-round playoff matchups each year across Peacock, NBC, and USA Network. The deal also includes seven Conference Semifinals and three WNBA Finals series—a massive commitment that signals the league's growing star power.

Leading the coverage will be a dynamic broadcast team: Zora Stephenson, Noah Eagle, and Michael Grady will handle play-by-play, while Maria Taylor, Sue Bird, and Cheryl Miller anchor the studio. LaChina Robinson and Sarah Kustok will provide game analysis, bringing deep expertise and energy to every broadcast.

The action tips off on May 10 with a marquee matchup—the Las Vegas Aces vs. Los Angeles Sparks on USA Network. But before that first whistle, NBC is making a splash with a creative marketing campaign set to debut this Saturday during the Kentucky Derby. According to Sports Business Journal, the spot stars Aces center A'ja Wilson, Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, and Wings guard Paige Bueckers.

In a clever nod to ESPN's iconic "This is SportsCenter" ads, the campaign features Saturday Night Live's Chloe Fineman guiding the WNBA stars through a mock NBC office for their "first day of work." Along the way, they pass photos of legendary NBC female icons like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Betty White—a visual tribute that connects sports and pop culture. Sue Bird will also make a special appearance during the Derby broadcast for an interview.

NBC's first game on its flagship network follows on May 17, with the Aces facing the Atlanta Dream. For fans looking to gear up for the season, this is the perfect moment to grab your favorite team's apparel—because the WNBA is about to take center stage like never before.
