The NBA is sending Denver and Indiana to Mexico City for a regular-season game on November 7, the league said Thursday. The game will be the 35th in Mexico, all since 1992, and the 16th regular-season contest there. Other than the U.S. and Canada, no nation has played host to more NBA games than Mexico.

The NBA is taking its show on the road, and the destination is a familiar one for international hoops. The league announced Thursday that the defending champion Denver Nuggets and the high-octane Indiana Pacers will face off in a regular-season game in Mexico City on November 7.

This matchup marks a significant milestone, becoming the 35th NBA game held in Mexico since 1992 and the 16th regular-season contest. This solidifies Mexico's standing as the premier international host for the NBA, having staged more games than any nation outside the United States and Canada.

"Hosting the 35th game in the country reflects the depth of the NBA’s relationship with Mexico and the role this event plays in bringing the global game closer to fans locally, throughout Latin America, and around the world," said Raul Zarraga, senior vice president of NBA Latin America.

For the Nuggets, it's a return trip, though their last visit was a 2006 preseason game in Monterrey. The Pacers, however, are making their Mexican debut and will become the 23rd different NBA franchise to play in the country. The game is scheduled during the vibrant Week of the Day of the Dead celebrations, promising a uniquely electric atmosphere.

This Mexico City showcase is part of a broader global push for the NBA next season, which will also feature regular-season games in Paris and Manchester, England, bringing the world's best basketball directly to passionate international fans.
