The NBA draft will be held June 23-24 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tennessee freshman forward Nate Ament is projected as the No. 8 overall best available player, according to ESPN.
A deadline for early entrees to enter the NBA draft is Friday at 11:59 p.m. EDT. The AWS NBA G League combine will be held May 8-10, while the AWS NBA draft combine is scheduled for May 10-17. Both combines will be held in Chicago, Illinois.
A deadline for an early entry to withdraw from the NBA draft is June 13 at 5 p.m. EDT. The NBA draft first round is scheduled for June 23 (ABC/ESPN) and the second round will be held June 24 (ESPN).
Ament appeared in 35 games, including 35 starts, for the Vols during the 2025-26 season. He averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Ament’s career high for points in a game at Tennessee was 29 against Oklahoma on Feb. 18. He also recorded career highs for rebounds (11) versus Vanderbilt on March 13 and assists (five) against Mississippi State on Feb. 11.
