The 2019 Big East Player of the Year is on the move to her third WNBA franchise.

Point guard Natisha Hiedeman is taking her talents to the Pacific Northwest, agreeing to a two-year free agent contract with the Seattle Storm. The move marks a new chapter for the 2019 Big East Player of the Year, who will now suit up for her third WNBA franchise.

Hiedeman arrives in Seattle after a productive two-year stint with the Minnesota Lynx, where she carved out a key role off the bench for the league's best regular-season team in 2024. Last season, she posted career-best numbers, averaging 9.1 points and 2.8 assists in just under 19 minutes per game. Most notably, she rediscovered her elite three-point stroke, knocking down 37.1% of her attempts—a welcome return to form after a down year in 2023.

For the Storm, this signing signals an aggressive move to bolster their backcourt following a first-round playoff exit. Seattle finished 23-21 last season, earning the 7th seed before falling to the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces. With significant roster turnover possible—including the departure of leading scorer Nneka Ogwumike—adding a proven, efficient guard like Hiedeman provides valuable stability and shooting.

While Storm fans will celebrate the new addition, there's a bittersweet note for WNBA followers: this likely means the end of the popular "StudBudz" streaming duo, Hiedeman's entertaining partnership with former Lynx teammate Courtney Williams. On the court, however, Hiedeman's playmaking and perimeter scoring could be exactly what Seattle needs to make a deeper playoff run in a highly competitive Western Conference.
