DURHAM - Exeter High School senior Lexi Paterna won two events at the six-team Oyster River Spring Classic on Saturday, April 18.
Paterna won the 800 (2 minutes, 18.62 seconds) and the 1,600 (5:01.32), while other Exeter winners include Sydney Macvicar (100 hurdles, 17.31), Emma Roeder (400, 1:00.03), Martelle McBride (long jump, 15-9), Lucille Beem (shot put, 32-9) and Lexi Rogers (triple jump, 33-1.5).
Other schools competing included Portsmouth, Spaulding, Oyster River, Bow and Coe-Brown. No team scores were kept.
Also in the girls competition, Portsmouth winners included Leiana Cory (200, 26.09), Natalie McCormack (3,200, 13:28.52) and Brenna Perkins (300 hurdles, 50.23). Spaulding's Sara Boudreau won the triple jump (33-1.5).
In the boys competition, Exeter winners included Colby Orleans (pole vault, 11-0), Ethan Kramer shot put (38-7) and Eli Smith (triple jump, 37-3).
Oyster River winners included Oliver Lehman (1,600, 4:29.28), Ryker Anderson (3,200, 10:18.55), Samuel Nunoo-Quarcoo (discus, 114-10).
Spaulding winners included Quincee Lewis won the 400 (51.51), Maverick Hope (javelin, 140-9), and Portsmouth's Nikki Beidleman won the 800 (2:05.37).
