Munster Rugby has made a significant addition to their coaching staff, securing former All Black Roger Randle as their new attack coach on a two-year deal. This move signals a clear intent to bolster their offensive prowess for the upcoming campaigns.

Randle is set to join the Irish province from the Chiefs in New Zealand this summer, pending a work permit, following the conclusion of the Super Rugby season. He will fill the vacancy left by Mike Prendergast, who is departing to join English Premiership side Bath.

Bringing a wealth of high-level experience, Randle earned two caps for the legendary All Blacks and has spent the last eight years with the Chiefs. His appointment also reunites him with Munster's head coach, Clayton McMillan, with whom he worked closely in Hamilton. Randle's impressive 31-year career in rugby has seen him play and coach across the globe, including stints in New Zealand, France, Italy, and Japan, giving him a diverse and innovative perspective on the game.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Randle stated, "I am incredibly excited to be joining a prestigious club like Munster who have such a rich history and incredible supporters." He added, "I'm really looking forward to reuniting with Clayton but my focus for now is on the Chiefs and having a successful end to the season."

Head coach Clayton McMillan was equally optimistic about the new hire, praising Randle's proven track record. "I have worked with Roger for many years, and he has always demonstrated an incredible work-ethic and ingenuity when it comes to the attack aspect of the game," McMillan said. "We are thrilled to have him come on board and believe he will complement the already excellent work that Mossy Lawler is doing on a day-to-day basis."

This strategic hire promises to inject fresh ideas into Munster's backline play, aiming to create a more dynamic and potent attack that will excite their passionate fanbase in the seasons to come.
