As Forest Green Rovers continue their summer rebuild, the club has confirmed that defender Jordan Moore-Taylor and goalkeeper Harry Isted will depart following the conclusion of their contracts. Both players had been in discussions about extending their stays at the Gloucestershire club, but the management has decided to move in a different direction.

Moore-Taylor, 32, has been a rock at the back for Forest Green over the past six seasons, amassing more than 160 league appearances—including 23 in the most recent campaign. His leadership and experience on the pitch will be missed by the Rovers faithful, who have watched him grow into a fan favorite since his arrival.

Isted, 29, joined the club in November as a short-term solution after an injury to goalkeeper Luke McNicholas. Despite the late start to his season, the shot-stopper made an immediate impact, featuring in 30 games and proving to be a reliable presence between the sticks. His performances were a bright spot in a challenging season for the club.

These departures bring the total number of players leaving Forest Green this summer to nine, joining the likes of Harvey Bunker, Ryan Inniss, Christian Doidge, Sean Long, Liam Sercombe, Harry Cardwell, and Keon Sanniola. With a significant overhaul underway, the club is clearly looking to reshape its squad for the upcoming campaign—a move that could signal a fresh tactical approach or a focus on younger talent.

For fans, this marks the end of an era for Moore-Taylor, whose six-year tenure saw him become a cornerstone of the defense. As for Isted, his brief but impactful stint will be remembered by those who appreciated his quick reflexes and calm demeanor under pressure. As Forest Green turns the page, all eyes will be on who steps up to fill these shoes in the new season.
