We’re down to the last four in Monte Carlo, and both semifinals look set to deliver plenty of drama.

Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev will face off for the third time this season, following meetings at Indian Wells and Miami where Sinner came out on top each time.

The Italian has now won seven straight matches against Zverev overall. In the other semifinal, Carlos Alcaraz will take on local favourite Valentin Vacherot as he looks to defend both his title and his world number one ranking.

It’s a high-stakes day across both semis. Beyond just a place in the final, all four players have their eyes on 1,000 ranking points and a significant prize money payout.

The total prize pool for this year’s Monte-Carlo Masters stands at €6,309,095. The singles champion will take home €974,370, while the doubles winners will split €298,950.

The runner-up will still collect a solid payday of €532,120, along with 650 ATP ranking points. Sinner, Alcaraz, Vacherot and Zverev have already secured themselves at least €290,960 each by making it this far.

If Alcaraz does reach the final in Monte Carlo this year, he’ll move past Andy Murray on the all-time prize money list. The Spaniard is currently just behind Murray in eighth place.

Despite their history of facing each other six times in 2025, Sinner and Alcaraz haven’t met in a final so far this season.

Their most recent encounter was at last year’s ATP Finals, and since then, their paths have not crossed again on court.

Sinner fell short in the Australian Open semifinals while Alcaraz went on to reach the final. Later, it was Sinner who dominated Indian Wells and Miami without meeting Alcaraz at either event.

The Monte-Carlo Masters now presents a golden opportunity for the first ‘Sincaraz’ final this season to occur, with both stars heavy favourites to win their semifinals.
