The 2026 MLB season is through four weeks. Numerous players are continuing their hot starts, while others are finding their timing and rhythm. The biggest stories are about the players who haven’t slowed down since the season started. Here are the top 10 second basemen rankings heading into week five.

Lowe’s stayed healthy and produced via the long ball. He’s always provided power from the second base position. The question is whether he can stay healthy throughout the season.

Hoerner is locked in. He’s been as hot as any MLB second baseman. Entering the week, he’s the Cubs’ best hitter.

Turang hasn’t slowed down following last season’s big year. This season, he’s doing it again with power and the ability to steal bases. He’s an early favorite to represent the National League in the All-Star game.

Edwards has shown the ability to reach base and rack up steals. He’s producing through this season’s first three weeks. Edwards will be a cog batting at the top of Miami’s lineup.

Jackson is locked in and producing. He’s displaying power and has already totaled his career high in home runs. He’s making it hard for his bat to come out of the lineup when Jackson Holliday returns from injury.
