In Hickory, starter Aneudis Mejia battled through 3.1 innings, surrendering four runs while walking three and striking out three. The offense picked up the slack, with Marcos Torres launching a home run to lead the charge. Paulino Santana showcased his patience at the plate with two walks and added a stolen base, while Yolfran Castillo contributed a pair of hits and a steal. Hector Osorio also chipped in with two hits of his own.
Over in Hub City, starter Aidan Curry worked 3.1 innings, allowing three runs with four strikeouts and four walks. Reliever Andrew Susac struck out two over two innings but gave up two runs. At the plate, Maxton Martin provided the power with a home run, while Paxton Kling and Malcolm Moore each recorded a hit. Yeison Morrobel doubled and walked, and Gleider Figuereo had a standout night, going 3-for-4 with a double.
