In a revealing and candid moment, Milwaukee Bucks star Myles Turner has pulled back the curtain on the chaotic environment that defined the team's 2025-26 season—pointing a finger at former head coach Doc Rivers for allowing a culture of lateness and preferential treatment, especially for franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo.

For Bucks fans, last season was a frustrating one. Despite making major moves—including cutting ties with Damian Lillard after a devastating Achilles injury and signing Turner in free agency—Milwaukee stumbled to just 32 wins. It marked the team's first sub-40-win season in a decade, a shocking dip for a franchise accustomed to contention.

Rivers was fired last month, taking much of the blame for the team's disappointing performance. While some analysts pointed to Antetokounmpo's injury struggles and front-office decisions as contributing factors, Turner's recent comments suggest the issues ran much deeper.

Appearing on his podcast Game Recognize Game alongside New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart, Turner was asked about team fines. His response was eye-opening: "Doc Rivers didn't fine anybody." He went on to describe a locker room where players routinely showed up late to practices and film sessions—and sometimes missed team meetings entirely.

"It was one of the craziest things I personally have ever experienced," Turner admitted.

The lack of discipline extended to travel, too. Turner revealed that if a team flight was scheduled for 2:00 PM, it wouldn't depart until hours later because players were consistently late. "I'm being so serious, bro. It was crazy," he said. The situation became so predictable that Turner himself started arriving an hour after the scheduled departure time just to match the actual timeline.

When Stewart pressed for the biggest offender, Turner didn't hesitate: "Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants." The admission that the two-time MVP received preferential treatment underscores a locker room dynamic that clearly lacked accountability—and may have been a key factor in the Bucks' stunning fall from grace.
