Milan are bracing for a major shake-up as they prepare to face Genoa this Sunday, with head coach Max Allegri hinting at up to five changes to the starting lineup. The Rossoneri have hit a rough patch, managing just seven points from their last eight Serie A matches, slipping into a tie for fourth place with Roma. A win at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris is crucial to steady the ship.

Allegri's hand is forced by suspensions, as star winger Rafael Leao, along with Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan, will all be sidelined. This leaves a gaping hole in attack and defense that needs creative solutions.

In midfield, veteran Luka Modric is back on the bench after undergoing surgery for a fractured cheekbone on April 27, but he's not fit to start. The expected replacement was Samuele Ricci, but the former Torino man is nursing a sprained ankle and may not be available at all. That could open the door for Ardon Jashari to step into the lineup.

Defensively, there's some good news: Fikayo Tomori returns from a one-match ban, likely reclaiming his spot in the back three and pushing Koni De Winter to the bench. The biggest question marks, however, are up front. Christian Pulisic is back in contention after missing the disappointing 3-2 home loss to Udinese due to a muscular issue, giving Allegri more options in the 3-5-2 formation.

Allegri dropped a telling hint during his pre-match press conference: "Out of Pulisic and Nkunku, one of them will start." Reports suggest the nod could go to Christopher Nkunku, who would partner Santiago Gimenez in attack. With Modric, Leao, and others out, this match at Marassi—kicking off at 11:00 UK time (12:00 CEST)—could be a defining moment for Milan's season.
