When you're the champs, you're going to be welcomed and celebrated nearly everywhere you go. And such is the case for the new royalty in college basketball, with Michigan having won the NCAA Tournament earlier this month.

As the Detroit Pistons worked to get their first home playoff win in nearly two decades, following their loss to the Orlando Magic in game one of the opening series of the NBA playoffs, there were several luminaries in the crowd, from Rip Hamilton and Ben Wallace, to Jared Goff, and even MSU head coach Tom Izzo. But there was a veritable cadre of players representing the Wolverines, with Dusty May and the national champions in the building in Little Caesar's Arena.

Of course, it's made all the more of a special occasion given that both the Pistons and the Magic are rife with Michigan basketball players. The Pistons boast two, with Duncan Robinson having scored 10 points, and Caris LeVert having scored four. The Magic had three former Wolverines, with Franz Wagner having scored 12 points, while Moe Wagner and Jett Howard both played three minutes each, but didn't score.

The Pistons defeated the Magic, 98-83, to even the series 1-1.
