Following a disappointing defeat to FC Lorient, Benatia has called for a collective "lockdown" at the club, demanding his players refocus entirely during this critical period.

Speaking to reporters, Benatia revealed a drastic measure: he has asked the squad to clear their personal schedules for the next four weeks to spend extensive time together at the club's training ground, La Commanderie.

“I asked the players not to plan anything for four weeks,” Benatia stated. “We’re going to spend a lot of time together, morning and afternoon, to work.” His frustration was palpable as he questioned the return on investment from recent efforts. “We organise training camps to build connections and to work — that costs the club money — and yet nothing changes on the pitch.”

Drawing a stark comparison, Benatia emphasized the need for greater commitment. “There are people who work from 7am to 7pm for much less than us. So if we need to push ourselves and be together more, we will.”
