Tom McKibbin insists he has "no regrets" about joining LIV Golf even as the tour faces major financial uncertainty following the announcement that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) will withdraw its funding at the end of the year.

Tom McKibbin has no regrets about his decision to join LIV Golf, even as the breakaway tour faces significant financial uncertainty. The 23-year-old Northern Irishman, who turned down a PGA Tour card to sign with Jon Rahm's Legion XIII team, remains steadfast in his commitment.

"No, not at all—I don't regret it one bit," McKibbin said ahead of this week's US PGA Championship at Aronimink. "The last year and a half has been great. Getting to spend time with Jon and Tyrrell (Hatton), playing with some of the best guys in the world. I feel like I've improved a lot in different aspects of my game, and the more comfortable I am, the more I've really enjoyed it."

McKibbin's confidence comes despite last month's announcement that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) will withdraw its funding at the end of the year—a move that has sent shockwaves through the LIV circuit. He admitted the news caught players off guard but remains optimistic about the tour's future.

"It was a little bit of a shock to everyone," McKibbin acknowledged. "But going forward, I think Scott (O'Neil, LIV Golf CEO) has done a good job. Hopefully, he'll be able to find some funding elsewhere and let it continue. The events are great, the setup is great, and I've really enjoyed it. Hopefully, it continues for a while."

With his focus firmly on his sixth major championship appearance, McKibbin isn't letting the off-course noise distract him. He debuted at the US PGA Championship last year with a tied 50th finish at Quail Hollow and missed the cut at his first Masters last month. While he's yet to contend at golf's biggest events, the experience of testing himself on the world's most demanding courses—alongside stars like Rahm and Hatton—has only sharpened his game.

For now, McKibbin is all in on LIV, funding questions and all. And if his attitude is any indication, he's ready to let his clubs do the talking.
