Bryan Mbeumo has set his sights on an even bigger impact next season at Manchester United, insisting that his "good start" at Old Trafford is just the beginning.
The Cameroon international made the blockbuster £71 million move from Brentford last summer, and he's already made his mark. With nine Premier League goals to his name, Mbeumo has been a key figure in helping the Red Devils secure a top-five finish and a return to Champions League football for the 2026/27 campaign.
Alongside fellow new arrivals Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha, Mbeumo has revitalized a United attack that struggled for firepower last season. But the 25-year-old forward isn't resting on his laurels.
"There have been some good bits this season. But there are some bits to improve. I had a good start, I would say," Mbeumo told the iPaper. "But every year in my career I have always come back better than I was before."
That relentless drive is what makes Mbeumo such a dangerous asset. He's known for his pace, work rate, and ability to stretch defenses—traits that have made him a fan favorite in Manchester. Still, he believes his best is yet to come.
"Every season I want to improve. If it hasn't been enough, it can only be better. I always wanted more, even if it was going really well. I always tried to beat records," he added.
"I'm still happy because obviously it's been a top season, especially collectively, so I think with hard work, it can only get better."
For United supporters, that hunger is exactly what they want to hear. After a season of transition under the spotlight at Old Trafford, Mbeumo's ambition signals that the Red Devils' attack could be even more potent next time around. Whether he's leading the line or linking up with the likes of Sesko, one thing is clear: Mbeumo isn't satisfied with just a "good start"—he's chasing greatness.
