Max Holloway has finally broken his silence on the swirling rumors of a rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 329, set for July 11 in Las Vegas. The former featherweight champion admitted the potential bout carries deep personal meaning, but revealed that no official offer has landed on his desk just yet.

McGregor, who hasn't stepped into the Octagon since breaking his leg in the 2021 trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, is eyeing a comeback during International Fight Week—and Holloway's name has emerged as the top candidate. For "Blessed," this isn't just another fight; it's a chance to settle old scores. Holloway lost to McGregor back in 2013, and the memory still stings.

"We have history," Holloway said in an interview with Paramount. "We fought a very long time ago. If somebody's got one over me, I want to get him back. I'd love to get him back." He noted that McGregor appears "hungrier" than ever, especially after a recent boxing exhibition. "It's exciting. It's a huge fight. Anything with Conor McGregor is huge, but having history with the dude, being able to get one back would be cool."

Holloway's last outing was a tough decision loss to Charles Oliveira, costing him the BMF title—a result he's eager to erase from the conversation. "You're only as good as your last fight, they say, and we're going to get everybody forgetting about that last fight as soon as possible," he added.

Despite the buzz, Holloway confirmed no contract has been offered yet. "Maybe, we'll see what happens," he said when asked about UFC 329. "I'm seeing all the talk..."
