When it comes to representing Team USA on the world stage, few players have earned the kind of respect that J.T. Miller commands from his peers. The veteran forward, known for his grit and skill, has become a fan favorite among teammates—and that includes the dynamic Tkachuk brothers.
At both the 4 Nations Face-Off and the Olympics, Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk shared the ice with Miller in the red, white, and blue. Over that time, the brothers gained a deep appreciation for everything Miller brings—not just during the game, but in the locker room too.
On a recent episode of The Wingmen With Matthew And Brady Tkachuk Podcast, Matthew didn’t hold back when describing Miller, calling him "easily one of mine and Brady’s favorite teammates we’ve ever played with."
"He’s had a 100 points just a couple of years ago. He sees the game so well, so offensive, so smart, so skilled," Matthew said. "And at that tournament (the Olympics), he completely bought into the role he was given, the identity he needed to be. It's the little things: the locker room DJ, the chirps, the keeping it light. He fit in right there with us… We loved him."
Brady echoed that sentiment, keeping it short but impactful. "He’s the best," Brady said. "Love spending time with Millsy. And he’s a gamer too."
It’s that combination of elite talent and team-first mentality that makes Miller a standout—whether he’s leading the New York Rangers or wearing the Team USA crest. For fans looking to channel that same winning attitude, there’s no better inspiration than a player who knows how to balance skill, swagger, and sacrifice.
