Frederic Massara’s future at Roma hangs by a thread.
The Giallorossi sporting director, following Gasperini’s public admission that he hadn’t found a technical connection with him, is increasingly distant from the capital. Names are being sought for a replacement.
Meanwhile, however, Massara is continuing to work professionally, considering incomings and outgoings to provide the coach with a squad suited to his footballing needs.
Among the deals already underway is that of Kerim Alajbegović, but the most delicate aspect is the settlement agreement, which must be respected by June 30th.
Capital gains are needed: at least one top player must leave before July 1st.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, Roma has placed two names at the top of their wish list: Giovanni Manna and Cristiano Giuntoli. Sean Sogliano is further away.
The truth is that the Giallorossi aren’t looking abroad because Gasperini wants a trusted man, someone with whom he can communicate constantly and speak the same language.
Further misunderstandings are out of the question after a season of misunderstandings with Ranieri and Massara himself. Giuntoli is a free agent, but several clubs are interested.
Manna is under contract with Napoli until 2029, and De Laurentiis has no intention of releasing him: no free transfer.
