Inter President Beppe Marotta has laid out the club's long-term vision, emphasizing that the Nerazzurri's success is built on "evolution, not revolution." After a stunning Double-winning campaign, Marotta insists the focus remains on strengthening the existing foundation rather than tearing it down.

Sunday's open-top bus parade through Milan will showcase two glittering trophies: the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia, secured with a 2-0 victory over Lazio. This marks Inter's first Double since 2010, when Jose Mourinho's legendary side completed the historic Treble with Champions League glory.

What makes this achievement particularly remarkable is the context. Just one year ago, Inter ended the season empty-handed. The departure of coach Simone Inzaghi raised eyebrows, especially with the appointment of Cristian Chivu, whose senior management experience consisted of just a few months at Parma. Yet the gamble paid off spectacularly.

"There is a team on the field and one off it too," Marotta told Sport Mediaset after the Coppa Italia final. "The management and everyone behind the scenes contributed. It's a team sport, and everyone played their part."

The president credited the club's ownership for setting the right tone from the top. "This model can take us toward victory. Sometimes we lose too—last year did leave a mark—but Chivu did well to get us back on track."

The only blemish on an otherwise perfect season was elimination from the Champions League play-offs by Bodo/Glimt in February. However, Marotta acknowledged the quality of the opposition while noting that the early exit allowed Inter to focus entirely on domestic dominance.

Looking ahead, transfer rumors are already circulating, but Marotta's message is clear: Inter will continue building on what works. The philosophy of steady evolution rather than radical overhaul has delivered silverware, and the club sees no reason to change course now.
