Bayern Munich's Champions League journey came to a heartbreaking end on Tuesday night, as a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the semi-finals saw them eliminated 6-5 on aggregate. It's a bitter pill to swallow for the German giants, who came agonizingly close to booking a spot in the final.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, Bayern captain and legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer didn't hold back in his assessment. "I think we didn't have the killer instinct in attack tonight," Neuer admitted. "But ultimately, we did have the opportunities to win the game."

The veteran shot-stopper pointed to PSG's ruthless efficiency as the key difference between the two sides. "We didn't have many clear-cut chances, but when you do get those moments... look at Paris – they were simply killers, scoring five goals the way they did in the first leg. That's exactly what we needed today."

Bayern did find the net through Harry Kane, but his goal came deep into injury time – too late to spark a comeback. "Our goal unfortunately came a bit too late," Neuer reflected. "We didn't have time to create another chance or maybe even get a set-piece situation. At that point, it was too late. I think that key moment in the game was simply missing. The stadium was there, we were there as well, but in Paris' penalty area, we just weren't clinical enough."

Despite the disappointment, Neuer acknowledged the team's achievements this season. "We deservedly won the Bundesliga title. We're looking forward to the DFB Pokal final in Berlin. But right now, disappointment prevails."

For Bayern fans, this exit stings – especially given how close they came. It's a reminder that in the Champions League, even the smallest margins can decide your fate. As the team shifts focus to domestic glory, they'll be hoping to channel that frustration into a strong finish to the season.
