Mikael Mandron has tasted glory this season, lifting a League Cup winner's medal and scoring twice in a dramatic Scottish Cup semi-final that pushed Celtic to extra time. But the St Mirren striker isn't looking back—he's laser-focused on what he calls the club's biggest game of the season.

The Buddies sit in the relegation play-off spot, just one point behind Kilmarnock with only three matches remaining. This weekend's showdown against Killie is nothing short of a survival battle.

"There's no way to sugarcoat it—it's the most important game of the season," Mandron said. "Even though we've got two more games after that, we understand what a win would mean for us. You can't go into it with nerves. It's a game that means a lot to us."

The 31-year-old has been a key contributor across all competitions, tallying 21 goal involvements this season. However, only four of his 11 goals have come in the Premiership—a stat that frustrates the French striker. In fact, he's scored as many goals at Hampden in cup semi-finals as he has in the league.

"When you're a striker, you're always looking to score," Mandron explained. "I've done quite well in the cups, and my overall goal involvement is good. But in the league, it's been less so. That's something I keep working on, both individually and with the team."

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Mandron is putting all contract talk on hold until the relegation battle is settled. "That's not something I'm focused on at all right now. The season's not done. We're still fighting for safety."
