Managerless Hartlepool United have made a massive squad overhaul, releasing 13 players after a challenging season that saw them finish ninth in the National League.

The club, which was taken over by American businessman Landon Smith last December, ended the campaign under interim boss Nicky Featherstone. However, the writing was on the wall when the club confirmed Featherstone would depart at season's end, leaving Pools without a permanent manager heading into the summer transfer window.

Among those shown the door are Joe Aungiers, Adam Campbell, Matty Daly, Nathan Ferguson, Sam Folarin, Nick Hayes, Gavan Holohan, Danny Johnson, Vadaine Oliver, Tom Parkes, Alex Reid, Louis Stephenson, and Brad Walker. All have been let go at the conclusion of their contracts, signaling a clear reset for the club's roster.
