Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for the Women’s Champions League took a big hit after a 0-0 draw with Tottenham.
Spurs failed to capitalise against a sleepy United, and will rue their missed chances to get three points as the WSL season enters its final stages.
Marc Skinner’s side remain third, on 39 points with two matches remaining, but just one ahead of Arsenal whose three games in hand put them in a great position to leapfrog United and move into the top three.

Spurs’ Lize Kop did not have to make a save at all in the first half.
However, the Red Devil’s entered Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a different tempo in the second half.
The game became more end to end as both teams desperately tried to break the tie.
Melvine Malard entered the field and immediately brought the intensity that Man United were lacking, driving the ball into the Spurs box and forcing Lize Kop’s first save of the game with a powerful shot in the 55th minute.
England and Man United superstar Ella Toone returned to the pitch for the first time this calendar year after injury, but Man United just couldn’t find their feet.
Spurs continued to catch Manchester United on the back foot, but could not make it into the back of the net.
In a flurry of attempts on goal, Olivia Holdt’s shot was cleared off the line in the 62nd minute, Morris dragged the ball just wide from a free kick on the edge of the box, and in the 67th minute Drew Spence shot it wide in the best chance of the game.
In the dying moments, Lenna Gunning-Williams could not create a happy ending for Tottenham Hotspurs as her shot was saved in the left hand corner.
Ultimately, it was a match of wasted potential as both sides were unable to make the most of their opportunities and secure a crucial three points in the race for Europe.
