The excitement is building at Brentford as head coach Keith Andrews delivered some promising team news ahead of their Premier League showdown against Manchester City this Saturday evening (5:30 PM BST, live on Sky Sports). After a frustrating spell on the sidelines, midfielder Jordan Henderson is set to make his long-awaited return to the matchday squad.

Henderson has been unavailable since Brentford's goalless draw at Leeds United back on March 21, but the Bees boss confirmed he's ready to step back into action. "The squad are good, they're full of energy, and they've had a really good week," Andrews shared with a confident tone. "I'm not long off the training pitch and there's a good energy around it; everyone's in a pretty good place."

In addition to Henderson's comeback, there's positive progress for Vitaly Janelt, who is edging closer to full fitness after featuring last weekend. "Vitaly will be a little bit closer now, with another week's training under his belt. He did well to even be involved last weekend, and we wanted him to be in the squad," Andrews explained.

However, fans will have to wait a bit longer for left-back Rico Henry's return. The defender was back on the training grass on Friday but won't feature against the reigning champions. "Rico was back on the grass on Friday, but he won't be involved... he's not ready yet," Andrews noted.

With just three games remaining in the season, Andrews isn't shying away from the challenge ahead. A potential European qualification spot is still within reach, but the focus remains firmly on the task at hand. "We've got a lot of work to do over the next three games to do anything like that. The focus is on tomorrow, first and foremost, but we want to finish the season really well," he said.

Despite facing the formidable Manchester City at the Etihad, Andrews is brimming with belief in his squad. "The performance levels, the energy and the appetite from the players have been there in abundance. Tomorrow is obviously going to be very, very difficult, but we want to go there and show what a good team we are."

For Brentford supporters, this weekend offers a chance to see their team test themselves against the best—and with key players returning, the Bees are ready to sting.
