Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva has dropped a major hint about his future, revealing he will decide his next club before the 2026 World Cup—and keeping the door open for a potential move to Juventus.

The 31-year-old Portugal international is set to leave the Etihad Stadium when his contract expires on June 30, making him one of the most coveted free agents on the market. With his time at City winding down, Silva is already planning his next chapter, but he wants to make sure his focus remains sharp for the biggest stage in football.

"I want to resolve it between the end of the season and the start of training with the National Team so I can have a clear head," Silva told Sport 11. "The World Cup is too important a competition for me to have my head on other things."

Juventus have emerged as a leading contender for Silva's signature, with reports in Italy suggesting talks are already underway. The Serie A giants, currently sitting third in the table and fighting for a Champions League spot, are reportedly being led by coach Luciano Spalletti, who personally contacted the City star in April to persuade him to move to Turin.

But Silva won't be short of options. Barcelona, Benfica, and Galatasaray are also said to be interested in securing his services. However, the Portuguese star has made one thing crystal clear—a return to his boyhood club Benfica is off the table for now.

"I already told you I'm not going to Benfica," he confirmed. "There's one clear intention: I want to return [one day]. I don't know if the club will want me when I want to return. I want to return."

Silva has been a key figure for Manchester City this season, contributing three goals and five assists in 50 appearances across all competitions. As he prepares to leave the Premier League champions, the football world will be watching closely to see where this world-class midfielder lands next.

For fans of Juventus, the hope remains alive—and with Silva's timeline set, the answer could come sooner rather than later.
