Free FIFA World Cup events are coming to all five boroughs this summer.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani, alongside Gov. Kathy Hochul and FIFA World Cup NYNJ officials, announced plans to host free celebrations for the games that expect to bring over a million people to the region this summer.
Here's when the World Cup games will take place, and the free events being held for New Yorkers.
The World Cup will host eight games at MetLife Stadium, which is being branded as New York New Jersey Stadium for the event. MetLife Stadium is in East Rutherford, New Jersey, right outside of the city.
Over 1.2 million fans are expected to be in the area for the games, meaning New York City has to plan accordingly for the event, too.
The games will take place in the region for over a month, with the schedule as follows, according to the stadium:

Mamdani, alongside the governor and FIFA's NYNJ committee, announced plans to host one event in each borough for the World Cup.
Here is the schedule for official events, spanning all month, according to the mayor's office:
Queens: The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows will serve as the NYNJ World Cup 26 Queens Group Stage HQ, featuring match viewings and other programming from June 11 through June 27
Brooklyn: Brooklyn Bridge Park will host its own World Cup fan zone from June 13 through July 19, featuring match viewings and other programming
Manhattan: Rockefeller Center will have a NYNJ World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village from July 6 to 19
The Bronx: Bronx Terminal Market will host a fan zone from June 13 to 14, featuring cultural programming and match watching
Staten Island: Staten Island University Hospital Community Park will host a fan zone with match viewing and other programming from June 29 to July 2
