The Orlando Magic's postseason path just got tougher. In a hard-fought Play-In Tournament battle, they fell 109-97 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, missing their first chance to secure a playoff berth.

With the victory, the 76ers lock in the Eastern Conference's No. 7 seed and a daunting first-round matchup against the powerhouse Boston Celtics. For the young Magic, however, the season is not over yet. Their resilience will be tested one more time.

Orlando now faces a win-or-go-home scenario this Friday night at the Kia Center. They will host the Charlotte Hornets, with the coveted No. 8 seed and a first-round date with the top-seeded Detroit Pistons on the line. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM, streaming on Amazon Prime.

Despite the team loss, Magic star Desmond Bane delivered a spectacular individual performance, pouring in a game-high 34 points in a valiant effort to keep Orlando's hopes alive. The stage is now set for a high-stakes Friday night showdown where the Magic must channel that same energy to extend their season.
