Belgium has named its 2024 World Cup squad, and all eyes are on star striker Romelu Lukaku—who's earned a spot despite a season plagued by injury setbacks. The Napoli forward, battling fitness issues that have limited his playing time in Serie A, has been cleared to join the Red Devils for what will be his fourth World Cup appearance.

Lukaku will line up alongside an experienced core that includes goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfield maestros Kevin De Bruyne and Axel Witsel—both of whom are also set for their fourth tournament. Courtois, like Lukaku, has had his own injury concerns at Real Madrid, but the squad's backbone remains intact.

Belgium, who finished third at the 2018 World Cup, will open Group G against Egypt on June 15, followed by matches against Iran and New Zealand. Before heading to North America, they'll sharpen up with warm-up friendlies against Croatia on June 2 and Tunisia on June 6.

Coach Rudi Garcia has made some bold calls, notably leaving out 17-year-old midfield prospect Nathan De Cat and Juventus reserve Lois Openda. The final 26-man roster blends veteran leadership with emerging talent, including young wingers like Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard.

Belgium World Cup Squad:
Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Senne Lammens, Mike Penders
Defenders: Timothy Castagne, Zeno Debast, Maxim De Cupyer, Koni De Winter, Brandon Mechele, Thomas Meunier, Nathan Ngoy, Joaquin Seys, Arthur Theate
Midfielders: Kevin De Bruyne, Amadou Onana, Nicolas Raskin, Youri Tielemans, Hans Vanaken, Axel Witsel
Forwards: Charles De Ketelaere, Jeremy Doku, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Romelu Lukaku, Dodi Lukebakio, Diego Moreira, Alexis Saelemaekers, Leandro Trossard
