Luka Doncic is finding himself in the crosshairs of WWE legend Ric Flair once again, and this time, the criticism is hitting harder than ever as the Los Angeles Lakers face elimination from the NBA playoffs.
Flair took to X on Saturday to unleash a fiery rant aimed at the Lakers' star guard, following the team's crushing 131-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals. The defeat puts the defending champions on the brink of a sweep, with their season hanging by a thread.
Doncic, who has been sidelined for the entire postseason due to a Grade 2 hamstring strain suffered on May 2, has become the target of Flair's frustration. The wrestling icon didn't hold back, questioning Doncic's absence while the Lakers desperately need him on the court.
"Luka Doncic, There Is Only One Word That I Can Possibly Say, And That's DISAPPOINTED. 46 Million Dollars, And You Can't Play," Flair wrote on social media. "OMG, I Would Jump Off The Empire State Building With A Parachute For 46 Million Dollars A Year, And I Don't Even Know How To Pull The Cord To Open It- But I Would Take My Chances."
The numbers tell a painful story for Los Angeles. While Doncic watches from the sidelines, the Lakers have become the first team in NBA history to lead consecutive playoff games at halftime, only to lose both by a combined 40-plus points. Rui Hachimura led the scoring with 21 points, while LeBron James and Austin Reaves added 19 and 17 respectively. Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton chipped in with 10 points each, but the defense simply couldn't hold up, allowing the Thunder to shoot 56.3% from the field and hit 17 three-pointers.
As of now, there's no word on whether Doncic will be available for Game 4. The Lakers will host the Thunder at Crypto.com Arena on Monday at 10:30 p.m. ET, with their backs firmly against the wall and the pressure mounting from all sides—including from a WWE Hall of Famer who's clearly not impressed.
