The Louisville Cardinals are heading back to the big dance! For the 16th time in program history, Louisville softball has secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament, earning a No. 8 seed in the Lincoln Regional.

This marks a triumphant return to postseason play for the Cardinals, who last appeared in the tournament in 2023. The team will kick off their regional campaign on Friday at 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU, facing off against Grand Canyon in a must-watch opener.

The double-elimination regional is hosted by top-seeded Nebraska, with South Dakota rounding out the four-team field. Louisville will need to bring their A-game against a tough lineup, but the Cardinals have the talent and grit to make some noise.
