Texas Athletics is preparing to light the tower after Longhorns men’s tennis clinched both a regular season SEC championship and a SEC tournament championship.
“In their second season in the SEC, the No. 1 Longhorns (24-6) captured the outright regular-season title with a 12-2 record in league play. Texas has won at least a share of its conference title in six of the last seven years (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026) and claimed it outright in the last four of those (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026), discounting 2020 when the conference schedule was not played due to the pandemic. In winning the SEC Championship title on Sunday, it was also back-to-back in that tournament for Texas. It is the third-straight conference tournament title for the Longhorns, including the 2024 Big 12 Championship, and the 10th overall in program history. It was also the seventh time, including the last three years, the program has won both the tournament and regular season championships, after also winning the Big 12 regular season title in 2024.”
