Liverpool Doubts Grow After Frustrating CampaignLiverpool’s season has drifted into uneasy territory and the atmosphere around Arne Slot is beginning to change. A year after succeeding Jürgen Klopp...

Liverpool's season has taken an uncertain turn, and the mood surrounding Arne Slot is shifting. Just a year after stepping into Jürgen Klopp's massive shoes, the Dutch manager is facing growing scrutiny as fans grapple with a campaign that has lacked spark, consistency, and real conviction.

The tension was palpable at Anfield during the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, where audible boos echoed from the stands. While Liverpool are still on track for Champions League qualification, sitting a staggering 17 points behind Arsenal has left many feeling this season has fallen well short of expectations.

Former Premier League striker Tony Cascarino believes Liverpool's board may soon face a tough decision, and he's already pinpointed a potential successor: Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola. Speaking on the TalkSport Weekend Sports Breakfast, Cascarino noted, "The booing is happening more regularly at Liverpool now. I want Arne Slot to get to the end of the season, and then Liverpool to make a call."

Those comments highlight a growing unease around the club. While there's no indication of an immediate change, modern football rarely allows uncertainty to fester—especially at a club with Liverpool's lofty ambitions.

Iraola has turned heads with his work at Bournemouth, transforming from a respected coach into one of the Premier League's most admired managers. His teams play with intensity, tactical courage, and relentless energy—and, crucially, they keep getting better. Currently sitting sixth in the table, Bournemouth have spent much of the season competing for European spots, an achievement that hasn't gone unnoticed.

Cascarino believes Iraola is already preparing for a bigger stage. "He's probably been offered something that's better," the pundit said. "It's like when you're a player. If you play brilliantly at Bournemouth—like Semenyo or others—the vultures come circling, and they take you away to the big clubs."
