Liverpool FC has released the first images of a touching memorial planned for beloved forward Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, following their tragic passing last summer. The 28-year-old Portugal international and his 25-year-old brother—a forward for Portuguese second-division side Penafiel—lost their lives in a car crash on July 3 in Spain's Zamora province.

The memorial, titled "Forever 20," features a flowing heart design that pays homage to Jota's iconic goal celebration. It also incorporates the brothers' shirt numbers—20 for Jota, 30 for Andre—alongside the lyrics of the song Liverpool fans sing in the 20th minute of every match as a tribute to the striker. The club describes the sculpture as a celebration of "their lives, their bond, and the love and respect felt by family, teammates, and supporters across the world."

Set to be located on 97 Avenue at Anfield, the memorial has a unique, heartfelt touch: it recycles the physical tributes left by fans outside the stadium following Jota's death, embedding them into the stone plinth. This creative approach ensures that the outpouring of love from the Liverpool faithful becomes a permanent part of the tribute.

Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020 and quickly became a fan favorite, scoring 65 goals in 182 appearances. During his time at Anfield, he helped the club secure the Premier League, FA Cup, and two League Cups—a legacy that continues to resonate with the Kop. A date for the memorial's unveiling has not yet been announced, but the club has confirmed it will be revealed in the future.
