Lisandro Martinez remains fully committed to Manchester United despite ongoing speculation about a potential return to his boyhood club, Newell's Old Boys. The Argentine defender has been a vital presence at Old Trafford since arriving under former manager Erik ten Hag, but his journey this season has been anything but smooth.

Injuries have plagued the 28-year-old throughout the campaign, limiting him to just 17 appearances across all competitions—only 12 of which were starts. A ruptured ACL suffered in February of last year kept him sidelined for much of the first half of the season, and a recent calf issue has further disrupted his rhythm. Even after returning to action, a straight red card in the 2-1 defeat against Leeds added to the frustration.

Despite these setbacks, Martinez has shown why he is considered one of the Premier League's finest defenders when fit.
