Rangers head coach Danny Rohl is again linked with German clubs as the Ibrox club and Celtic reportedly make enquiries about Huddersfield Town's Cameron Ashia.

Bayer Leverkusen has become the latest German club linked with Rangers head coach Danny Rohl, as the 37-year-old continues to attract attention from across Europe. According to reports, Rohl is on Leverkusen's shortlist for a new head coach, though Bild suggests Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner is the top candidate, with Girona's Michel also in the mix.

Rohl's position at Ibrox appears secure for now, with Sky Germany reporting he is not at risk of being sacked. A move to Wolfsburg seems unlikely given their relegation from the Bundesliga, but Union Berlin and Leverkusen could offer more attractive opportunities. The German tactician has impressed since taking charge of Rangers, despite the club slipping out of the Scottish title race.

Meanwhile, both Rangers and Celtic are reportedly eyeing Huddersfield Town winger Cameron Ashia. The 21-year-old could be available for as little as £500,000, despite Huddersfield holding an option to extend his contract. Burnley, Cardiff City, Hoffenheim, Ipswich Town, Sheffield United, and Stuttgart have also registered interest in the promising winger.

In other transfer news, Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is reportedly committed to the club after their Premier League promotion, snubbing advances from Celtic, Crystal Palace, and Fulham. Celtic forward Daizen Maeda has emerged as a target for several Premier League clubs, with the 28-year-old potentially heading for a summer exit. Lech Poznan has made a £2m offer for Celtic winger Luis Palma, while Shin Yamada returns to Celtic after his loan spell with Preussen Munster.

One intriguing revelation comes from Lewis Ferguson's agent, who claims Celtic passed on signing the Scotland midfielder before his £2.5m move to Bologna in 2022 because they felt he wasn't good enough at penalty kicks. Ferguson has since impressed in Serie A, making that decision look questionable in hindsight.

With the summer transfer window approaching, the Scottish clubs look set for a busy period of activity both in and out of the squad. Stay tuned for more updates as these stories develop.
