RB Leipzig sealed Champions League qualification with a comfortable 2-1 win over St. Pauli on Saturday on a dramatic day in the Bundesliga's race for Europe. "We have to go about the last game like it's a war," St. Pauli's Louis Oppie told DAZN.  While Leipzig are now certain to finish third behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart lead the race for the fourth and final Champions League spot after landing a crucial 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

RB Leipzig secured their place in next season's Champions League with a commanding 2-1 victory over St. Pauli on Saturday, adding another chapter to a thrilling Bundesliga race for European spots.

The Red Bulls, who have become a fixture in Europe's elite competition in recent years, put on a performance worthy of the occasion at the Red Bull Arena. Goals from Xaver Schlager and captain Willi Orban ensured Leipzig would finish third behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, with one game still to play.

"We were under a lot of pressure this season, but we are a great group and we rose to it," an emotional David Raum told the celebrating fans. "We have achieved our goal now, so let's all have a drink and party all night long."

The match was a tale of two halves, with St. Pauli showing early promise but ultimately falling short. The visitors, who had managed just four goals in their previous eight outings, squandered several counter-attacking opportunities before Schlager broke the deadlock just before halftime, hooking the ball home from a corner.

Orban doubled Leipzig's advantage after the break with a magnificent header, leaving St. Pauli with a mountain to climb. Though Abdoulie Ceesay pulled one back late for the visitors, it was too little, too late for the Hamburg side, who now sit second from bottom.

For St. Pauli, the defeat sets up a dramatic winner-takes-all showdown with fellow relegation battlers Wolfsburg on the final day of the season. "We have to go about the last game like it's a war," midfielder Louis Oppie told DAZN, summing up the pressure his team faces.

Meanwhile, the battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot is heating up. Stuttgart seized control of the race with a crucial 3-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, bouncing back from a nightmare start that saw them concede after just 34 seconds. A defensive mix-up from centre-back Ramon Hendriks gifted Aleix Garcia an easy tap-in, but Stuttgart showed remarkable resilience.

Ermedin Demirovic leveled the scores just five minutes later with a clinical finish, then won a penalty on the stroke of halftime. Maximilian Mittelstädt stepped up and calmly chipped the spot-kick home to give Stuttgart the lead. Deniz Undav sealed the win after the break with an artistic finish, putting Stuttgart in pole position for that final Champions League berth.
